This piece was inspired after i watched Brokeback Mountain, particularly when Jake gets beaten to death for being gay. Even in the world today there are people who mame and shun homosexuals, and for what? Because we can fall in love with someone of the same sex? Is that the worst thing in the world? There are so many more bizzare fetishes and habits in the world than that of the love between a man and a man or a woman and a woman.
I want to bring these cruelties into the light and to show the world that we are people just like anyone else. Being gay makes us who we are. I'm not here to preech about gay rights, i don't plan on shouting out from the hilltops that i'm "gay and proud!" but i am going to make a difference in our world; i will fight to be accepted as anyone else.
